William Wallace and Son can cater for individual beliefs irrespective of religion. The funeral ceremony can be conducted by the deceased’s own parish minister, priest, or religious leader; or if this is not in keeping with the wishes of the deceased, it is possible for a non-religious ceremony either conducted by a friend or family member, or by a member of an organisation such as the Humanist Society of Scotland.

We can supply and advise on a wide range of coffins and caskets for burial and cremation. Please look at our selection for more details.

When the time is right, we can assist with choosing and erecting a memorial stone and, in the meantime, supply grave markers until the stone is in place.

Many people will choose to place a death notice and notice of the funeral arrangements into a local newspaper. We are happy to do this for you and can help you compose suitable wording for it. The cost of publishing a death notice can vary greatly between newspapers but we will be able to provide you with guidance on this.

William Wallace and Son can design and supply your Order of Service sheets including any images that you may want to use.

William Wallace and Son have a very new fleet including a Mercedes Benz hearse and limousines and can advise on travel arrangements for the day of the funeral.

Our service room has seating capacity for 70 mourners and is convieniently located above our premises in West Kilbride.

To many people, providing a floral tribute is a very important part of the funeral. We work closely with local florists and are happy to arrange your choice of floral tributes; alternatively you arrange your own floral tributes to be delivered to us prior to the funeral. In some cases there will be restrictions on the number of floral tributes and we will be able to advise you on this.

Families will often invite mourners to join them after the funeral ceremony for a buffet or meal, and refreshments at a local hotel. We are happy to make arrangements for you, and will be happy to discuss possible venues with you and give you a guide as to their prices.

The death of a loved one whilst they are away from home can be even harder to bear and William Wallace and Son will help to relieve this burden by dealing with the local authorities, organising the repatriation back to Scotland and advising on cost.
